Daniel S. Alcorn

Dan is a member of the firm and concentrates his practice in the areas of general trial and appellate litigation with a focus in family, employment and business law. Born in Oakland, California in 1966, he obtained his bachelor of arts degree at Knox College in 1988 and his Juris Doctorate degree at Drake University in 1991 where he was Articles Editor of the Drake Law Review and Managing Editor of the Drake Legal Research Service. Dan served as a graduate judicial law clerk to the Honorable Allen L. Donielson, Iowa Court of Appeals, from 1991 to 1992. Dan has been engaged in the private practice of law in west-central Illinois since 1992. He is a past member of the Illinois State Bar Association Labor & Employment Law Section Council, and a past member of the Illinois State Bar Association Assembly.

He has served as a member of the Blackstone Inn of Court, the Knox County and Illinois State Bar Associations, and the Bar Association of the Central and Southern Districts of Illinois. Dan is admitted to practice before the Seventh Circuit United States Court of Appeals and the Central and Northern United States Federal District Courts. He is also a member of the trial bar of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Dan was selected as an Illinois Super Lawyer from 2007 through 2017. He has published articles in the Drake Law Review, the Illinois State Bar Association Journal, and the Illinois State Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Section Council Newsletter.

Dan has presented numerous seminars on employment law for small businesses for the Galesburg and Monmouth Chambers of Commerce, the Carl Sandburg College CABI, and for various Human Resources associations. He also has presented continuing legal education seminars on employment law topics sponsored but the Illinois State Bar Association.

Elisa was born in Galesburg, Illinois in 1981 and raised in Knoxville. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Bradley University where she was a member of the Mock Trial team for 3 years and moved to New Orleans, Louisiana after graduation to attend law school.

She obtained her Juris Doctorate from Loyola University College of Law- New Orleans in 2006, however, during Hurricane Katrina she attended Loyola Law School - Chicago where she taught street law to high school students.

After graduation she returned to Knox county area and began working at the Peoria County State's Attorney's Office concentrating mainly on Juvenile Abuse and Neglect cases. She then entered private practice in Galesburg for just over two years before transferring to the Knox County State's Attorney's Office where she was the First Assistant State's Attorney until September, 2015 when she joined Alcorn Nelson as a Managing Partner.

Pamela S. Wilcox

Of Counsel

Pamela S. Wilcox is of counsel with the law firm of Alcorn Nelson LLC, who has practiced in the areas of consumer and small business bankruptcy for almost 29 years. She graduated with a B.A. degree from Illinois State University in 1975, and received her juris doctor from Southern Methodist University in May 1989.

Pam is admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the United States District Court for the Central and Southern Districts of Illinois. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association; a past member of the Board of Governors for the Illinois State Bar Association; the Bar Association of the Central and Southern Federal Districts of Illinois; the Knox County Bar Association; the American Bankruptcy Institute; and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.

Pam was Board Certified in Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification from 2001 to 2011. She was selected as an Illinois Super Lawyer in bankruptcy for 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013. Pam was a standing Chapter 7 United States bankruptcy trustee for two years in the Central District of Illinois. She has achieved Peer Review Rating of AV ®Preeminent from Martindale Hubbell.
